About Me

Hi, I'm De'Anna.

My crafting journey began when I was a small child. Our family Christmas tradition was for the children to make ornaments for the all the adults, so Christmas ornaments of various types (involving a lot of Elmers glue) were my first foray into crafting.

I learned my first crafting technique around the age of 7, when my grandmother taught me to crochet. My first project was a long chain of green and red, and until her passing, my grandma hung it on the wall every year at Christmas and hung Christmas cards from it.

In my early teens, I remember wanting a sweater that buttoned down the front, but I didn't have one. So I took a button down shirt, and a pull over sweater and re-purposed them both into a button down sweater. I embellished it with brightly colored buttons, and was very proud of my creation.

My crafting abilities have grown over the years, and now I crochet, sew, do machine embroidery (including digitizing), latch hook, dabble in paper crafting, work with duct tape, and am teaching myself to knit. Even I don't know what I'll be up to next!

I have been doing professional machine embroidery since 2004 with my Amaya embroidery machine (nicknamed Amy). She is a beast of a machine, but I haven't found anything that she can't embroider on...well, within reason, I'm sure she'd have trouble embroidering a motorcycle helmet.

I work a full time job, but crafting is my full time passion. Whether it is my long time love of crochet or my brief stint as a knitter. From digitizing embroidery designs, watching as they stitch out and sewing together a project . There is always some crafty idea rolling around in my head, I've probably forgotten as many as I've made.

Hopefully you enjoy your time in my little shop. Thanks for stopping by!
